What do think about the Rolphs? I have a set of his single coils that came in an '08 RS Stepside. They are the best singles I've ever had.

Lots of keepers, but this is one of my favorites of all time for no reason other than it's a great guitar.

One thing I have found is that regardless of year... sometimes you run across one that everything is just 'right'... neck angle, intonation, neck/body wood working together etc. This is one of those 'they just got everything right' guitars... however I have heard good things about the run in general.

Coming in at 8.5lbs, and rings like a bell. I orig bought it just for kicks and fully planned on playing it a few weeks... taking the rental hit and reselling. When i first strummed it... it was a ' holy cow... this is not going anywhere' moment. Also I think it was one of the last with real ebony fboard... the other being the frampton phoenix iirc.

I don't love p90's in general, but the SD neck mini-hum is surprisingly awesome... one of the few neck pups I have ever liked outside of a real PAF.

I'm not jamman but I do have some experience with Rolph humbuckers. They are excellent pickups!

I have a unit from the same run (14 aged R0) existing as my #1. Best Lester I've played all things considered thus far. I have yet find a more perfect neck for my liking. I picked it up at the dealer and upon first run up the neck and knew my bank account was going to be lighter. I have played about 5 from this run with all being above average IMHO.

Beats me why this one ever came on the market in the first place. Who would sell that?

I can attest to this one. Asapmaz was looking for this for years... and I have never heard him refer to it other than as his #1 of all time. Fantastic LP that sounds as good as it looks!!!

Thanks! Thought about letting it go a couple times. The V and the TV Jr. are my two favorites.

Do Jrs count? If so, here's my 2011 '57 RI. This photo was taken the day I brought it home. It has a some nice wear and battle scars now. I can't imagine getting rid of this one:
