2016, all stock now. Since I'm a 99% neck pup player, I'm searching mostly for a good neck pup swap, which is probably gonna be a underwound Lollar Imperial Alnico II. Still waiting for pole spacing info, to see if I can swap the cover with the original VOS I have on the CB.

The stock CBs are too edgy for my like, and hard to shape with tone without making everything dull.

Yeah, I’m with you on that... people seem rave about their Custom Buckers, but I found them too strident and punchy in both positions. I tried a set of OX4; not the right pickups for this guitar, but they sound great in my Studio Lite. So far, the Florence Voodoo PAF bridge has been the best for me and I’ve got a Florence ‘59 neck coming next week. High hopes; fingers crossed.

These guitars are piece of art and imho they deserve to be played as much as possible, hence we all should be 100% happy with the pup tonez. Doesn't matter if "historically" correct. :)

Here's 1 I moved out , but It was a nice top,,, Me thinks.... If it was a real Ice Tea or Dirty Lemon , It may have had a better chance , but it didn't make the cut . Haven't seen it after MGL sold it about 30 minutes after it got posted ,, so It's someone's "Keeper"

Thanks! It is a nice piece of kit, I have to say. Not as nice as some here, mind you... GAS is always with us :laugh2:

Another +1 for that along with Dilver. I bought the R9 in spite of the CBs rather than because of them :)

I have 1 more Les Paul left on my wish list - a dirty Lemon fade with a little bit of red left in it. Your photos reminded me why :)

Nice combo! Is that Marshall an 6100 LM 30th anniversary? Also which speakers are in the cab? Always curious about those.

Love the way the vertical grain lines are just as prominent as the horizontal figuring on the VOS CC #1 - what a great look!

    Major GAS in this thread!
My one and only '07 R9 HM (Dave Johnson) called Ghostburst, last mod was the SD NOS wire pickups, they're staying.

Just to keep the ball rolling, 2007 R9, I agree there is no best year of a reissue, but so far I have not come across a dog from 2007.
