Inspired by a thread started by @WaywerdSon about Tyler Brant and the Shakedown.
    http://www.mylespaul.com/threads/why-aint-these-guys-bigger.398659/

We all have a band or two that we love, but for whatever reason, they are relatively unknown to the masses.

Let's get the word out on these bands.
If you see/hear something you like here, try and spare a few bucks and grab the album.

One of my faves over the last couple years is Whiskey Myers.
They opened up for Skynyrd back in 2015, and have been in steady rotation around my house ever since.
They have 4 albums out, that I'm aware of.
I don't like all of their stuff, but the stuff I like, I really like.
Here's their latest 3 albums in chronological order.

    Firewater

    Early Morning Shakes

Mud (sorry, can't find a full album vid, but here's the songs individually)

    Reignwolf is another one.
He's old news now, but I love this performance and I'm still really looking forward to a studio album from this kid.

So, what have you guys all been hiding up your sleeves?
I'm really hoping to pluck some jewels out of this thread. I love new discoveries in music!

Brown Couch. These guys were fantastic. I had their disk in my car CD changer (back in the old days), I would chose them over the Dave Matthews disc, 10 out of 10 times (I bought the DM before I heard these guys). Great vocal harmonies. I listened to the disk ad naseum while commuting in brutal traffic 2+ hours per day. Their mellowness probably prevented lots of road rage (mine).

Additionally, they are a couple of the nicest guys you could meet.

Another really nice guy. He played a charity event at a bud's house. We were sitting around shooting the sh*t and I said "You sing a bit like Greg Allman." He said "Thanks, I lived with Greg for a while and tried to learn as much as possible from him."

I bump into him occasionally and each time I sort of wonder, "why aren't you famous, yet?"

The music business is a mofo and for a variety of reasons, overlooks and in many cases deliberately passes over some serious talent.

It's not about Joseph Gordon Levitt but this is where I discovered Marty Ray.

Song being built starts at 1:30 but it's all about the big man with the beard who comes in at the end.

    His mission statement.

Not sure they are really "undiscovered"> They have a decent following in prog metal circles overseas, Europe and Japan, but they are virtually unknown here in the States. Its pretty proggy, and over a lot of people heads I think, but these guys can flat play

I'm liking all these posts, but I can't comment on the music in them yet.
I'd rather listen to them through headphones or speakers than the iPhone that I'm currently posting from.

I can't wait to check them out though, thanks for posting them!
