Alex, that's very neat and tidy. Mine's not but I live at my desk 18 hours a day apart from noodling.
    Anyway.
    Squat gamer case
    AMD Phenom 9600
    Couple of terabytes of disk
networked with the family and big media server. (we're extreme geeks)

You can see my E-MU 1820 is this pic, and my work area in my sig pic.

This PC is older, but works for the stuido (yep, we're a family of extreme geeks, too):

HEC Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
    MSI P7N SLI Platinum 775
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4 Ghz
    4 GB Corsair SDRAM
    500 GB Seagate Barracuda SATA2
    GeForce 8800 GT 512
E-MU 1616 PCI Digital Audio System

I like the E-MU interface. I just need to pick some decent recording software.

Here is a better shot of the work area:

How about the price of TB drives lately?? They're now down to $65 here.. Do you have them set up in a RAID?

That's the one. I found the plans online. I made two. Mine just sit around the house, so they work great.

Also I used some wood and felt for the lower rests, instead of the tubes and foam.

I work out of my home. This explains why I'm often distracted.

    Home tower:
Dell tower with most of the guts replaced - Win XP, 3GHz P4, 4GB some sort of RAM (DDR2?), GeForce 9500 w/1GM v memory, one internal drive, two 500 GB externals, DVD RW, 750w power supply with a pretty blue light inside, 22" Samsung LCD monitor

    Home laptop:
Dell Latitude D620 - Win XP, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB 7200 RPM drive, DVD RW, some sort of video card with 256MB v memory

    Work:
HP 6000 Pro MT - 4 GB RAM, Pentium Dual Core 2.80 GHz, Win 7, 140 GB primary drive, 465 GB slave, DVD RW, several network drives, Acer LCD monitor.

Sorry for the lack of details, I'm still a bit of an enthusiast, but not nearly as much as I used to be.

Ugh... I am currently PC-less and working on an antiquated Mac Mini that locks up while browsing Wikipedia.

Now my PC too was antiquated but it could handle most games up until just recently. Here's what it was before it went tits up:
    Pentium 4HT 2.4Ghz
    GeForce 6600GT 256MB video card
    2GB PC3200 RAM
120GB SATA drive (never needed much else. I didn't have tons of movies)

But once I get employed I'm getting this beast built: :D
