    Great thread!

@ Top Gun: you've got such a great guitar! Some much going on in that top, lots of grain and all over the place flame. It's got a different color then you're NGD topic though. You've got to share more pictures with in different lightning conditions :)

I haven't taken my own shots yet as I've been running around with the kids and had a few gigs but this is a shot from Gibson. Yes it's 8lbs 1oz. Sounds great. Has all TH appointments besides the non historically correct hand sanded finish. Also has the taller frets which I prefer and while the neck is rolled, its not as rolled as the TH's I have played. Like it a lot so far. Sounded great at a gig this past weekend.

MTMs and THs are welcome too as well as the standards.

My old TH Darkburst has a happy home and I get a lot of emails still for that one and the "goldie " gloss.

I haven't seen any of these 2017's for sale yet. Where are people finding them?

And more importantly, are the new features welcomed additions?

Beautiful guitars. Practically True Historics for less money. Gibson is maybe in complicated phase now, but these 2017 reissues seems to be great anyway.

Sorry, everybody's photobucket accounts are being held hostage incl mine. Anyhow I took some measurements on my 59 Standard. The neck is .925 thick 1st fret 1.022 12th fret. Nice non-cheeky c profile that feels great. The pickups are both 7.78kohms and sound very woody and open. Weight is 8lb 8oz even with plastic switch cover installed. And I find I love it more each passing day. It was made back in March and the COA is signed by Rick Gembar.

Several bigger Gibson dealers have them. Wildwood has around 50 of them.

I spoke to a manager from my local Guitar Center yesterday, and he said that they are getting 2017 Historics as well. I asked if they were only M2M and he said no, that they were regular "Historics" just like the ones that Wildwood and CME are getting.

Not quite sure what that means, though. They don't have any on display, and I couldn't find any on their website either.
