Couple of Les Pauls. The process of nitro finish and relicing can be seen here, who will be interested. And many more photos.

I got the heads up from my friend who gigged with the guitar after only having it for a few hours. He said it sounded great (phew!! as I made the pickups as well)and the guitarist from the support band also gave it a thumbs up. A minor niggle with the d and g holding tune ( I cut the nut for 10's but the owner uses 11's tuned down) so a nut file might be called for or possibly a nylon nut like the originals had. With a 17 degree headstock nylon might not be such a bad idea.
    Cheers
    Andrew

Here's one I just finished up. A replica of the prototype of the Explorer. 1957 Futura - black limba one piece body, mahogany one piece neck with rosewood fretboard and tortoise shell headstock overlay. Essentially an unfinished complete build. Ready for finish. A very fun project but very challenging.

IMG_8083.JPG These two bad boys are done, took me 3 hours on and off to wire up The one with the darker fingerboard, I couldn't figure out why the controls weren't working.

Checked the pots, checked the switch, replaced the switch.

Turns out I wired the neck pickup straight to the jack lol in my defence the wires were the same colour

    New owner picks up Tuesday

Thanks for checking this thing out! I think I'm the only MLP member that hasn't done the requisite LP build...it'll happen soon, I promise!

Andrew i dont care if you ever build an lp. You build some awesome guitars and have your own style that works.
    Keep up the good work.

I think we'll let you have a pass. I've only done one LP. I can't hardly bring myself to build the same thing twice. For me, it's all about the exploration.

Yep. I only built one LP myself. First build. It was hardly a standard LP being neck-through and all.

I do throw a Strat or two in now and then, but mostly different stuff.

I would like to see the Knightro take on an LP though :)

    Thanks guys!

Ah, I'm sure you can imagine how it'd go... slightly different shape, goofy frets, natural finish.

I'm actually tempted to go fairly traditional and only alter the exterior contour and neck join, maybe even play with UV fading. We'll see what 2018 holds!

Well I have spent a few hours going through every page of this monster thread and I love it. My build will be up here soon, upon completion.

And sorry to necro what might be the oldest post on here, but dude - do you still make these and how can I get one? ;)
