I watched the whole thing waiting for it, and it never came!
Thanks guys! Alas, it is indeed sans solo.
sans solo...wasn't that the guy in star wars?
or maybe it was the star wars movie without him....i'm confused.
Yeah, he's the guy that hangs out with Chewbucker
wow. that's a new one on me. i guess with that one you don't need a fuzz box
After almost a year it is done. I am very happy with the result especially because of the issues I had with lacquer. I also had a tear out when routing the headstock to correct thickness so I had to make another neck.
This is the first guitar that is not going to stay with me and I am a bit sad because I really like it but I know it is going to good hands and it will be played a lot.
Here is one before shot and a couple of shots from yesterday.

wooeeiii doggies, that's a good un. me likes
Thanks Skyjerk, thanks Fatdaddypreacher
Man that turned out really beautifully! Nice job!
Well, I'm calling these done, so I suppose I'm eligible to post them in this thread.
These are my first two builds, just completed a couple of weeks ago. The build thread is here if anyone would like to see it.
Gorgeous work, Slingblader!
Here's one I did for a mates birthday present. (A bit late but better late than never) Lockwoods Analine dyes with some stewmac transtint colour. The lockwoods red faded really fast and more than I expected. I'll get the heads up on wether it sounds any good tommorow.[
beautiful. if it sounds and plays anything like it looks, he will be ecstatic.
Since my build thread is dead (thanks photobucket) I'll try uploading the images of my finished build here: my Carl Thompson inspired bass.
@SlingBlader & @fatdaddypreacher I would have finished it much sooner but life got in the way. Then we decided to build a big 560sq/ft deck out back (the figured if i could build a guitar then a deck must be easy)
Insane these are your first builds. They're stunning.
