Thx. This one came a week after that picture....
Wow, didn't realize you had a Crash Strat! Niiice!
Is that a "Brownie" ?!.....WOW
Here's a pic of my favorited Gibson Reissue next to one of my favorite non Gibson guitars.
Is that a Charvel Model 6???????
Yes indeed. My main axe for over 2 decades. Need to fix input argg started cutting out on me.
I have had mine since I bought it new 30 years ago. They were fantastic guitars and so much better than anything coming out of Fender or Gibson at the time. FWIW, I ditched the active electronics in mine and modified it to have a 5-way selector and 1 toggle for the humbucker coil split. I also put a real Floyd on it. Enjoy yours and I hope you get it sorted out!
That's a Journeyman Relic Strat from the 2017 Collection. Probably the first relic'd teambuilt model they did for the Clapton model?
This is easy for me, I only have 2 guitars. An R7 and a Strat
Bought mine new as well. 30 years ago at least. Mine is all stock. Always liked
tonal variety I get from the stock electronics. This thing is insane for staying in tune
A couple of more pairs of FAVORITES...
Couldn't help myself
I'm a bit shocked to see all these floyd loaded super strats. They always seemed the antithesis of the Les Paul ethos.
I expected to see many more Teles...
For me the Tele and the LP are like cousins from different sides of the tracks.
My super strat (an '87 Fernandes Japanese artist model) is a two pup hardtail. More akin to a 24 fret shredder Tele with Strat body.
Love those old Charvel Model 6 and 650XLs! I had a few back in the day and my best one looked identical to yours!
Journeyman Relic from this year. I'd love a brownie but I'd rather have a vintage 50s Strat for the rediculous money those go for.
It was made for me. It's just a USA Strat a guy painted. Did a hell of a good job. But these 2 were both made and not originals. I just like them as part of the basement next to the poster from the last concert srv played down the highway from my house. (had to draw over a political sign)
My favourite guitars above all others!
Nice BC Rich. If that’s an original Koa Mockingbird Supreme from the 70’s, it’s a rare bird. But you already knew that, I’m sure. I had a Koa Eagle Supreme back in the day. Foolishly traded it for an average Norlin 335 that I eventually sold.
That is cool. I have the same 'last gig' poster bill as well.
Nice. I also have an unused ticket I keep meaning to put in the frame.
Sweet crash. I thought about commissioning one as well.
Alpine Valley is near my neck of the woods as well. I usually play a round or two of golf there every year. Good chance to drink and pay homage/reminisce about SRV.
