I was trying to get better pictures of it, but Marty kept jumping
in front of the camera holding this old Gibson.

Y'know... I saw a booth was selling Antiquities for $80 each. I should have jumped for them in retrospect.

I just scrolled through the entire thread for the 5-6th. time since it started, I REALLY have to get to one of these next year! And what's this Retrofret shop in Brooklyn, NY? They must be pretty new, I have to look them up.

Thanks John! It actually plays much better than it looks. And FYI, hopefully it will be TV Yellow next time it's seen in public. Here's another shot of it:

Oh, and here's another cool guitar that was at the show. I believe there were only a handful of people at the show who got to see it, as it was a walk-in. It barely got in the front door before being purchased by someone...the lucky bastard! :naughty:

Wasn't that the one that had wax on the top from last show.

Yes, it was wax, or some kind of oil...

No, it's not the same one. That one was there too. The waxed one was a center seamed one, and had a price tag that was 3 - 4 times that of this one.

This one was completely naked (except for possibly a little stain on the back)...no butcher's wax, no nothin'! It had been stripped of all its paint, and was probably never even touched by sandpaper, judging by how smooth the wood was. The binding edges and re-curve looked untouched. Here are some more pics:

I had a great time and it was great seeing all you guys again ! :thumb:

I'm just a little pissed at myself. I was in such a rush to get out of the house that I forgot to bring my cam and Old Boy.
Oh well, always next year to look forward too, God willing !

It was nice meeting you at the summer show. I was a little too busy to make my rounds this show. It was crazy non stop both days. I love it!

Was that the stand at the end of the Isle, over in the corner by the MLP stand? If it was then I was pretty impressed also. There was a amp builder across from him that I thought sounded pretty good. I think they were called Morris amps.

Hey! It was good meeting and talking with you!

Those Morris amps did sound good, as I recall.

Hi Bill. Sorry I missed you this time around. Yes, that was the pedal place across from the MLP booth. Good stuff for sure!

If you ever need a vintage Fender amp redone he is the guy you want to do it.
