Pole screws are fairly easy to come by, i cant stress enough what a change their adjustment will make to your overall tone.

Yes, but the vintage telecaster custom and deluxe pole pieces are not.

The Gibson Custom Shop recommends you use the screws to match the fretboard radius.

my strings form a sharp angle at the bridge over the pickup so that the pole pieces looking at the bridge are much further away from the strings compared to the other pole.
if it's recommended to adjust pole pieces to match radius then this should help my problem where the difference is much more significant than whatever the radius causes!

Strat Pole Piece Height Guitars in General. ... A Gear Discussion Website for Musicians ... Is it possible to push the pole piece out a little bit from the back of the pickup to adjust the height or will this damage it? ... Never tried adding to the top of the pole so I can't comment on that one. ...
    Thanks
