peter green les paul bobbin colors

    Have just read it was double white on the Neck and double black on the bridge..
    Anybody confirm this please?

    dont know if they are the original pickups but they were double black when gary moore had it.

    mmmmm interesting ..thats an early picture as well ..all 4 knobs are the same ...

    Correct me if I`m wrong, but that`s not Greeny.
    That`s Stripe I believe. Almost identical but Greeny has covers(AFAIK never removed), Stripe never had covers that I`ve seen.

    yeah ,,the wearing had me fooled almost identical ...but article is 2007 ..he had sold it by then

    It would be interesting, as the color of the bobbins would indicate a time frame for them, as from memory there was a shortage of black plastic at some point hence the white bobbins popping up [if memory serves me]

    More interestingly i'd like to know what magnets both pickups are!

    I'm thinking A5 neck and A2 bridge .... and only because Peter gets a really shrill quack and bell like soft tone out that baby!
