Yep, I'd say you have the incurable sickness that only subsides, subsides a bit that is, when the purchase of a pedal is imminent or you are in the process of buying :thumb: Oh, it goes away for a short while after this purchasing activity is complete but .... not for long. No hope I'm afraid except but to keep feeding and fueling the fire  Welcome friend.... GB

Today, I was playing guitar with the delay pedal off (Boss DD-3). It's in the FX loop. I heard a delay even when the pedal was off. True bypass is a must. I MUST HAVE MXR CARBON COPY!!

oh hi. i think im more a gearaholic than a pedalholic

in the last 8 months i've bought something like 15 pedals....however, my main board only has 6 including the switch for my reverb/trem and my tuner. my other board has 3 including the tuner.

    i've also bought and sold 7 amps, but i keep only 2. marshall MG -> tweaker -> AC15 + my AC4. had a class 5, and HT5 and a fender champ 600 for a while.

and of course, 5 guitars, 4 of which have been through 3-4 sets of pickups.

ps, I can barely play the guitar.

The MXR CC is a good pedal. I use a Way Huge Aqua Puss and I like it pretty well too! If you get a CC be sure and give us a review :thumb:

Hi, my name is GrouchyDog and I'm a pedalholic. It's been 16 days since my last pedal purchase (http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/pedals/159240-npd-fulltone-plimsoul.html).

I would tell you that I buy pedals like a drunken sailor, but drunken sailors don't have finished basements on board ship that, well, just look better with with an overcrowded PedalTrain on which they can squeeze... just... one... more... overdrive...

My lunch breaks are spent with pedal reviews and Musician's Friend. My good dreams are of pedal shopping sprees and glorious tone. My bad dreams are of patch cables coming out my ears, power supplies flopping Borg-ishly from my arms and floods of 9v batteries chasing me down.

My name is GrouchyDog and I'm a pedalholic.

Still trying to resist temptation on a Keeley Blues Driver.... I tried an Analogman modded Blues Driver once and HATED it. I like some things about a stock Blues Driver. I think the Keeley may be my Blues Driver. But I like what I hear from the demos of the Keeley and they said it's amp picky but that it likes the kind of amps I use (Fender Blackface) so that it should work pretty good. I really want one but I don't have the money. Plus, next month I should be getting a call saying my Tim pedal is finally ready and I have to have the dough for that. The thing is, I don't have a Blues Driver to send away. I want to buy a pedal already modded and ready to go. Some of the pedal mod guys (Machine Head Pedals and JHS come to mind) don't offer pre-modded pedals for sale. IMO though the Keeley mod sounds pretty good through the right amp. It's pretty transparent compared to something like a Tubescreamer. It'd make a nice lead/clean boost if you didn't want the midboost. My other mod I really like is the Machine Head Pedals mod. The Monte Allums mods are nice but I like the MHP and Keeley mods better. Keeley seems to be the best route as of right now. It's a really popular pedal among the Nashville session cats. So I think it'll be the Keeley version or none at all at this point as the Analogman didn't do it for me - it was even more fizzy than the stock pedal. But I love their TS mods.

Sigh....so many pedals - so little time & money.

Yet another day in the life of a pedalholic overdrive junkie.

    I love pedals too!

I went through a huge buying spree in 2010...... guitars, amps, rack processors, and PEDALS!

So ..... I would be acquiring more pedals right now... but I haven't fully recovered from that buying spree yet.

I sure have a lot of nice stuff now though. It's unbelievable!

Although I did buy a pedal a couple months ago.... a Boss XT-2 Xtortion.

And, while I love Boss pedals........ that XT-2 is pure crap lol!! I can't get a decent tone outta that thing to save my life! Thin and harsh.

I plan on working with it more eventually though..... its gotta be good for something. Im sure I can get a good recorded tone with it.

Welcome dcooper! I do that sometimes where I will acquire items in a relative short period of time and then kinda coast for awhile. I'm not familiar with that specific Boss pedal but I hope you can find a sweet spot on it :thumb: GB

I want to get them fair and square....... I don't know how I could do it!!! :Ohno:

    I once thought to myself...

If I were to be the lucky one in a million to become world known for guitar playing, and some guitar reporter asked to see my gear, I would inform him that that would not be a good idea.
