This is an interesting point - if you could add up the money certain rockstars spend/spent on drugs, they could probably afford a few bursts comfortably.

I agree with the sentiment that it's cool to see a guitar like this purchased by someone who will actually use it nightly. Rock star or not, only an extremely wealthy person will ever be able to buy this guitar, so complaining that the buyer was part of the 1% is an exercise in futility.

I kinda dig little unique imperfections like that. Sometimes too perfect is too perfect.

I wonder if he'll have it at Wrigley tonight?

    - surprised that it has not been mentioned on this thread, - PJ are covering songs by The Who.... hence Mike is himself paying tribute to what Pete Townsend has done loads of times. The other thing is the Pearl Jam are a very emotional band in their live performance, - there are numerous clips of Eddie being brought to tears by the emotion of what he is delivering. For the hell of it I will post this link, - Mike’s Hendrix tribute, - their live standard. Sorry guys, it is his 1959 Stratocaster! ;)

Did any of you guys catch Mike playing this guitar at the Hall of Fame awards on HBO the other night? He started running around with it, he ran into the audience, and he ran back up onto the stage with it. I was waiting for him to do something stupid like tripping or something and that's when he threw it up into the air. My heart skipped a beat. Thank God he caught it.
