Has anyone tried that combination ? I think I just bought a P94R off Ebay classified  and I want to put it into my J&D Les Paul, where I currently have the SH2 / SH4 set. Love the SH-4, but not a huge fan of the SH-2 in the neck. I wanted something with a little more character.

In the end I had to take the P94 out again, because the routing was deep enough. The P94 is quite a bit taller than a Humbucker, which is too bad because I liked it

that's why I have an issue with pup makers that still stick to the long mounting legs. there's just no valid functional reason for it. simply an aesthetic.

I can dig if that's not what was an issue for your specific install, but it reminded me of one of my bigger pet peeves. :eek2:
