out of phase

    Can the neck tone pot be wired to be an out of phase pot? I never use my neck tone knob as my guitar is fairly dark to begin with. Just curious if this could be done using the same pot.

    Uhhh, let's see if I get this.... you want to use the POT as a out of phase SWITCH?
    Technically, yes.... BUT you would lose the pickup as you turn it one way or the other. (by the time you hit, let's say 5, you would be grounding out the signal.) If you don't use the tone, pull it and add a switch, OR get a push/pull switch, and don't use the pot part of that.

    You know, many of my old friends would be aghast at me saying "don't use the pot...." Many too many smoky basements in my past.

    Pull it and add a switch. I find that confusing. I can wire most guitars, but how would I wire the switch?
