That burst neck pickup is wonderful......
Too much talking.
But really beautiful guitars with great tone.
The great thing about old Les Pauls is that no two are alike, even from the same year or production run.
Color and tone on that 58 are incredible. 56´s goltops are always amazing too.
Having played PAF and P90 LPs I like the sound of P90s more...........just call me old fashioned.
I remember a time when old guitars where cool.......
That's my old '56 GT- fabulous guitar with perfect chunky neck, great weight and beautiful clarity and articulation.
I love P-90s. Fantastic sounding pickups and as has been noted actually rather close to the old PAF sound. Here's a good example:
Joe does it so well and yes the history of these instruments is so important eg Teles, Strats and Duo Jets etc also.
Whenever I see him do stuff like this I just gotta go and pick up my LP
