LOL! Being a "dealer" means nothing in todays age.

In my book, if you have a computer, you're a dealer. I can assure you there are MANY here who flip more guitars than me in any given year...but because they don't have a business "name" they aren't dealers. Uh, right. :laugh2:

Just like this ebay guy. :thumb:

Those are some really really really green tuner heads. Did they actually get like that, or are those just ill-advised replacements?

They look like cheap Asian ebay no-names. Search the bay for 'tulip tuners' lowest price + shipping, worldwide. :naughty:

I can only imagine the tragic scenes that destroyed this poor guitar!

Bitten in half and eaten by a great white shark. When the scientists cut the shark open, they found the PAF and M69 in the stomach. The shark had digested the rest!

You win the award for "best use of Photoshop in an M69 related post"....of all time. :naughty:

That may put you in the running for a lifetime achievement award, too. :thumb:

Strongly disagree with the person who looted this lap steel. Having said that , the demand for these parts has dropped off compared to a few years ago before the correction happened ,IMO. Not that many people are in the market for an M-69 cream ring for 5K or whatever crazy price. More like 2K+ in todays market. Try and get someone to pay retail for this , it ain't going to happen.

Doubt u would , no offense, folks that buy them to resell even wouldn't pay that! "real/authentic/verified" what a joke. :laugh2: Good luck , better know for yourself , trusting any of those crooks is a crap shoot at best. :hmm:

Plethora of nice replica M69s have really screwed up the M69 market. There's probably more than a 100 to 1 ratio of fakes to originals out there.

The moronic seller of this M69 majorly screwed up parting the PAF, screws, and springs, out from the ring...because THAT was the best authentication that this M69 could have had.

Once it's been jacked with, that's it.

    I wouldn't pay more than the price of a high-end replica M69.

Would you sell it for the same? Not baiting, just curious.

No offense but yes, I would. :)

I'm curious how you know this: are you a dealer? a collector? attend a lot of shows? have a bunch of Burst-selling friends?

I added that part just to differentiate real '57-'60 rings from the repros.

I would only buy it if I had a project that needed it....not to resell.

The nice thing about black rings for LPCs etc is that the color is never "wrong" and you can get 'em from Allparts for a buck fifty
