thunder road guitars in seattle posted this earlier today and thought I would share it here.
Very nice, hope to see more pictures soon
Now that's my kinda burst
a couple more pictures.
wow, 55 years old. pretty nice condition for that too!
How much are they asking?
they haven't listed it yet. they only acquired it six days ago so im not sure how long they will wait to list it.
Is he changing the tuners in that last pic?
I used to lust after this kind of beauty, but now, even if I were rich, I don't think I'd want to hold something with such a value/price. Would rather have a really playable, nice reissue and do any number of other things with the cash. But to each his own. That's a nice one. How's it play?
Thanks for posting this! The guitar is now listed on our website. Price is 250K.
i saw the back of the three piece headstock with volute, and wondered if they had possibly mis-identified it?
For that kind of coin, they need to go out and buy a vintage case for it. That kind of non attention to detail would make me mental.
I wonder if they will finance. $20,833 a month for 12 months. Before tax!
He may be doing some relicing with a razor blade.
Looks just like my 1992 LP Classic. Mine even says "1960" on the pickguard. Probably sounds the same too.......
Nice guitar but not practical to take a 30 year mortgage out for.
Joe Walsh sig for 7K is just as good IMO.
when people are buying a '59/'60 les paul I dont think they are buying it for the sole purpose of playing it.
