Yep, basically. That and the size of the stage. If it's big, you need to be louder. The good old inverse square law rulz.

But you're right in that the drummer sets the basic loudness of the group. Which is why I really hate playing with ham fisted bast@rds who've only got two settings on their dynamics control: loud and deafening. I can't be bothered with players like this anymore. Life's too short.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. It's the best way I have found to Guage any improvements or bad habits you may have picked up.

I use Reaper too, cherry, and don't worry about falling into the pit that is modeling.....Reaper isn't an entry level drug!

Ha ha. I was starting to feel lonely. Had Stinky Kitty's not sold, well, I don't know...

Fortunately, I realized my Laney Lionheart Studio 5 has some sort of output into your computer gizmo... :laugh2:

When I hear Frankv's playing it blows me away.

My band when I was a teenager did some Black Sabbath and yes Iron Man was one of the songs we covered! I was also an Iron Man comic fan in the 70s Like the movies these days too! Robert Downie Jr owns that part! Can't imagine anyone else doing it.

I wish I knew that you were in the market, I would definitely have preferred to keep it in the family here.

HA HA!! I learned to refrain from saying "never"

I do know that tube amp wise, I'm pretty well settled. All I'm waiting on is my Soul Tramp. If there is an Orange Anni released, I might very well be interested. But what I have presently pretty well "does it" for me.

I have not ruled out going digital. I really have not.
