Nice! I like the Champ/Maestro Fuzz track!
For whatever reason, when I click on my ow on link (because I never trust that it worked), Marc Ford pulls up.
See why I don't get a axe 6 modeler thingy?
That Mustang sure sounds good
cherry is still here, with a huge smile and warm feeling inside. He may try recording some more on Friday if he's not chasing down some other errands
Considering it was cheaper most pedals...
don't get me wrong I am not going to try and go for identical sound, although I tend to dial any amp I play for my tone. I am just going to use two different methods of the same type. The amps themselves will probably sound completely different yet the same characteristics, if that makes sense. But no tone matching will be going on. I promise!
You know (and this could be a thread of it's own...), I NEVER try to make different gear sound "like me". I think it's fun to play different stuff and see how different I can sound through it. I play my tweed WILDLY differently than I play the 2204. A BF Fender would be wholly different, again.
Honestly, those are the only amp categories I'm interested in.
It is almost frighteningly authentic.
The Marc Ford track is queued up for right after your link.
As long as the thread remains civil and we are all just sharing tones and not trying to evangelize, I will share some clips. Most of these are just me wanking as I try out some pickups but, I think you can hear each amp's character despite the random riffs and limited recording medium.
This is a real 1959 Bassman with a 335 Fat Neck loaded with Sigil Roots 57 LTD: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/59-bassman
Same guitar through a 1960 Deluxe: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/60-deluxe
Same guitar through a 1964 AC30 Top Boost: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/64-ac30
Same guitar through a 1973 Marshall Super Lead: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/73-marshall
Same guitar through a 1988 Mesa Mark III Simulclass combo: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/sigil-roots-ltd-88-mesa-mark-iiimp3
CC4 loaded with Duncan Skinnerbursts through a Carol-Ann Tucana 3r: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/carol-ann-1
This next one was recorded with my iPhone laying on the floor in a medium sized room so the volume is a lot hotter on this clip. FAIR WARNING! It is a 1965 Vox AC10-SRT. I am running an R4 Jeff Beck loaded with OX4 Hot Duanes into it: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/vox-ac101
And finally, I think it would be useful to hear some tones in live action. This is a short phone camera clip from one of my gigs. It is the Carol-Ann with the same CC4 only loaded with Stephens HD-59/PG-HD set: https://soundcloud.com/notscott-491096254/hkt1
I do own and use a modeler, an Atomic Amplifire. If I have time I will try and post some clips of that as well, along with a few other cool tube amps. Enjoy!
Still fresh out of the box with the Mustang, trying to figure out what it could do. Modulation fx content.
Hey boys great thread, here's a little thing I did a few weeks back:
Literally 2 takes. One rhythm. One lead. As you can hear from a few missed notes and a sour bend or 2.
Great stuff, guys!
All of it!
Thanks for the tone Scott. Now I can tone match them.
If you ever want to hear any of them up close and personal and see how close you can get, let me know.
I'm coming brother. We have talked about it for over a year.
Hey, fantastic playing and great sounding rig!!!
Here's something I threw down tonight. It has a flub, but I dug the vibe so I kept the take. This is my PRS SC250 with the SD SNS pickups.
I am absolutely astounded by the talent y'alls was Blessed with. Very inspiring. WOW.
Did my links not work?
