What a tragic loss. I really enjoyed and took inspiration from your playing as well. Although i DO like cat gifs, i hope you might reconsider not posting any more.

Every once in a while I run across a thread and think...wth? Everyone should be grateful (I am) when people post clips. It is one of the things I enjoy most here. I have enough testosterone to never be a whiny little b in a forum, but might need a treatment before I share my awful playing. :)

    I'm grateful for 2 things:
    1. some people actually listen to my clips
    2. sometimes they actually like them

back on topic, a few years ago I scored a great deal on an OR15 & a 2009 Gibby MM.
No better way to test em out than to record something with them.

Probably because the pyooter amp guys are basically set up to record the minute they turn on their power strip.
If all I did was record or play at home, I suppose I’d be able to post 19 clips a day as well with backing tracks, loops, whatever.
Posting clips definitely plays to the modelers’ strengths.
I basically never record, because like you, I only play live. It’s all I care about, all I’m set up for. I’ve got access to some stuff, but why would I go through all that to post a clip. If I have that kind of time, I’m not spending it recording.
    :)

    ^^^AMEN to that^^^^
I will record on a smart fon if I think my timing is off and I need to hear where the issues are... but that sure is not post worthy.

    Right?
I mean, what?? I’m gonna be jamming away with paper cones being slammed to and fro, and stop to record it on a phone??
    Lolz.
I just don’t feel the need. I’m not gonna go set up a studio to post clips.

I've spent the better part of 40 years in recording studios with the best of gear, & still wonder if it's post worthy.

If it’s handy on your computer, sure! But don’t go converting it from tape for us.
I make music to make music, not to compare a tube amp to a digital amp....on a digital media. ;)
If I had anything convenient, I’d post it.
I just bought a Zoom 3Xn to bring aboard ships with me, but it’s already making me insane.
Sounds good, but it’s a LOT of tweaking and learning.
I’m sure that once I’m set up, I can record to GarageBand and post anything I want, but for the time being, I just don’t care yet.
And I don’t know why I’d post it in this thread anyway, which would beg the question: Why did I do it in the first place?
I wrote songs, not music, if that makes sense. I like to write something and let the band flesh it out organically. That’s not something I feel I can do with a looper or recording tracks. Not really.
It’s probably something to do for fun, if you have the time, and I’m sure I’ll do it.
But what will I do with all this stuff? It’s like putting every single scribble I ever did on the fridge or something. It takes up room, does nothing for me.
That’s the difference between people who primarily record and people who primarily play live.
Not saying one is better than the other, and plenty do both to any possible degree.
But it’s usually the people who record directly that can fill page after page after page of this thread with clips before I can get ahold of the mic and interface, set up my rig and play......I dunno....something.

If you play music for others and want to share what you play to a broader audience, there are many options. I am sure when people listen to clips here, they appreciate it. Depending on where you play live, many people aren't paying attention to you anyway. Everyone enjoys music differently and people listen to it differently. This is an Internet Forum where people with computers and digital devices converse. It seems to make sense that you would get a large user base of people who can figure out how to record digitally, without much effort. Some of these posts seem offensive, but I honestly don't care. If I don't like what some of you say, or how you say it, I can leave or move to the next thread.

If you don't like posting or listening to clips...wrong thread?? It's a lot easier to move along on the Internet than in a bar when someone just keeps following you around, or they speak so loudly you can't get away from their voice. No reasons to complain, for sure.

    Aw, who knows?
I think everyone is cool enough here.
I tend to not intentionally say anything too mean on the internet because:
    A) I’m not normally a mean person,
    B) Who knows who you’re getting into it with?, and
    C) I just don’t care enough about stuff said on the internet to get that worked up over it.
But if I’ve said anything actually mean, I didn’t mean to.

Oh heck yeah. If you're done posting the Panama, I'll just have to check the modeling section, as i really enjoy your playing.

Thank you! I'll make more Panama stuff. I'm still tweaking to find the tones I like the most.
