Oh Snap!!! Vintage Rat Trap + Catalinbread Naga Viper Circuit

    Ok so I got in the mood to add a treble booster to the board mainly for my Tweed Deluxe 5b3. Given that the circuit is pretty simple I wanted to make one with an enclosure that would lend toward the sharp bright snappy tone. I also originally wire it with momentary switch to use as a solo boost but for now I have it through a regular 3pdt. All the components are NOS and it sounds great. I wired it so you have to arm the trap to connect the battery just for that extra little touch.

    Anyway long story boring it sounds great and it is a really versatile circuit. Mic'd demo below.

    Cool, very creative & you've taken PTP right back to the original form, I usually use unclad, pre drilled board for PTP pedal circuits. I'm wondering how it is for interference/noise. Still, I gotta give it two big thumbs up. Cheers

    Thanks for the kind words. It took a stupid long time to make as my dremel blew through the first trap but the end result turned out great. Ive got some other stuff in the works and always have my eyes peeled for fun enclosures.
