So pissed I couldnt be there. I worked until 6, gigged until 2, and got to bed around 3:30. I would have fallen asleep during the drive. I like both shows but this my favorite

Frank... if it’s ok to ask... are those both ‘59’s?? I see the note on one but not the other.

It was great to see everyone there...and yes, even you, Greg! And as usual, Artie (and C.J.), thanks so much for helping to make this happen. Feels like a family reunion evertime we do this...and I mean the good kind!

The drive home took 6 hours, 10 minutes with a few quick stops. Pretty uneventful. But well worth it!

Dan and Joel Shinn, from Lay's Guitar Shop had
a mind blowing collection of Conversions for sale.

I wasn't coming back for your stinking cake - no need to worry. Besides, I wouldn't eat it anyway. I saw Artie pissing on it, when no one was around, sooooooo.....

somebody tell me about these please....:wow:

and can someone tell me that has been to a few of these if it appeared that attendance and vendors were increasing, decreasing?...plus how did some of the prices look compared to prior years.

i need to save more cash and show up next year, maybe it was good i didnt show up as i have no will power and would have sold my car in the parking lot to buy something and would be hitchhiking home.

Lays Guitar Shop ? i need to check em out....

Of course it's ok to ask! Doesn't mean I'll tell, though! :naughty:

    Thanks, Steve!

No thread on this guitar yet, since I just got it a couple of weeks ago. The Philly show was its first public appearance...at least since I've owned it. I'll probably start a thread on it in the next few days.

The guitar is a '59 re-neck (with a '53 neck) & refin. With a top like this, if it weren't for these issues, I could never afford it! It feels perfect, and plays great.

The lights in the hall at Philly makes it very hard to truly capture the character of the top, and the color. Here's a better shot of the guitar:

This is a 1960 Burst at Hank's Booth. I didn't get the Serial Number,
but I was told it was in the 0 8XXX range. If anyone remembers it,
please post it, and any other details, and I will correct this post.

Artie, the number was in the 0-7XXX range, but I’m not sure that the owner wanted the full number to be made public. The guitar is not on the burst serial log.
