So Vic, did you buy the SG junior you bastid!!????
Only got to spend a couple hours at the show on Saturday. Brad wanted to eat lunch, so we ducked out for a bite and after that, he didn't feel like going back.... <sigh> I could have left him in the car, but he's technically still a minor. And, beating the inditement for that in the past, does not guarantee that I can do it again.
So, it was not much more than a "drive by" for me, this show
Still, I had a chance to see Victor's new amp (fvcking killer) and a bunch of really cool guitars in the booth this time!
Artie, Frank & Vic were the only folks who were there during my brief appearance. It looks like all the other cool people were there, when I was not. I was hoping to see Matt & talk wiring for a bit and deny Uncle Greg the pleasure of my wife... but, alas - those moments will have to wait for the Fall.
Thanks to everyone who posted some great pictures here in this thread and I hope that everyone had a wonderful time.
Brad says THANKS to Victor for letting him play the GT through the Homestead!
It has a really nice, dark braz board
Vic you are such a WHORE!! Damn you!! I wish I wasn't so broke. What a great deal. I was literally trying to decide what I had to sell to make up the money on the way home with my buddy Tom. Congrats buddy. But it looked WAAAAY better on me!! Maybe joint custody every other weekend? She told me she liked me better but not to tell you and hurt your feelings! Congrats, Brian
She told me she has PTSD from you playing her... Required a full fretboard cleaning!
Yes. That damn old man.
He's a great guy, I had a blast talking to him last year. All you guys are a great bunch.
We'll make it out next fall, for certain.
Hey you got Italian blood in you just like me. We got marinara in our sweat..............Whore!
This Fall, Dave.... THIS FALL.
Posts #141-151 LOL, Great exchanges there. Love this place Vic, which SG did you snagola? Pic's Man!! We need PICS
Nice to get this picture with CJ, Victor, Artie, and Frank. You guys are much appreciated for the work you do at these shows.
I almost called in sick Sunday. I have not had a sick day in 22 years! Very tempted. I was afraid they would call the hospital. Those guitars were calling me. Can't wait until Nov.
Well, it's the next fall we're going to have, isn't it?
Or I could steal your Mercedes, pick up Victor, drive it around Cali for a year and three months, then make it next fall.
I don't think Victor's been to our beautiful State. I can take him to the giant redwoods, hit the beach, all sorts of things. You just can't do it in one day.
Previous Owner rediscovers his guitar after many years at the
2015 Summer Philly Guitar Show.
Victor's amp is RIDICULOUS!! I was playing Frank's 54 goldtop (also ridiculous!!) and I wasnt quite sure if it was the guitar or the amp or both. I saying both cause I aint givin Vic all the credit!! Seriously though, I always looks so forward to going and hanging out with everybody. Frank, I have said it before. Thank you so much for your generosity with your amazing guitars. You have made many of our bucket lists come true. Artie thanks for all of your work and give CJ a break man he looked TIRED!! I need to get off for the whole weekend this fall. I never feel one day is enough. Not to see the guitars. Usually two or three laps around and I am cool, but to hang out with everybody. Vic you live close enough that we shouldnt have to wait twice a year to hang out! Always great to see everybody. Thanks again for a great time!!! Brian
No. You can't do it in one day. In my case, I took a decade and I still didn't do it all.
You're gonna need a better ride than my Benz if you wanna do CA in style, though. Table stakes is a Carrera.
This is just cool, beyond words... on a few different levels.
Look at how much fun that guy is having with a guitar in his hands. Laughing, smiling and completely enjoining himself.
Man, that's how it should be - every time you play!
and... finding your old guitar - whatta the odds?
