Nvgd: 63 sg

    Had this for a few weeks now. Apologies for inadequate pics.:)

    Been looking for a decent priced 63/64 for a while to satisfy my Cream-era Clapton obsession.

    I was told neck pickup output was on weak side but it sounded wonderful when I gave it a whirl so I thought little more about it.

    However when I later tested pickups on multimeter I found the bridge was around 7.4 but the neck gave no reading at all.

    So I suspect a broken coil. However, there seems to be no significant volume loss and the wonderfully flutey tone of the neck pickup makes me think I'll leave it as is.

    Very nice. In fact.. bad ass. That is like the gibsons we use to to see for sale used when i was about 16-17yrs old.

    I bought what i guess was a 61? With that clunky fold-a-way vibrato bar, in i think 67? With the original case(it was yellow as well)for $250.00 and was in at least as nice a condition as yours.


    It even had the les paul truss rod cover on it back then.
