Landed this '59 Les Paul Jr this year. The first thing that was really striking was the sustain and the tone. Baseball bat neck and a repaired neck heel behind the headstock. Original tuners are back on after schallers were installed. It's virtually impossible to describe what this sounds like through a '71 JMP 50 W Marshall with a 4*12 Celestion Greenback 68 reissue cabinet. But I will say it's a tone that I have never achieved on any other instrument, and keen to get a TV yellow Jr after this. First foray into the vintage 1950's Les Paul market. Hopefully, wont be the last.
