Landed this '59 Les Paul Jr this year. The first thing that was really striking was the sustain and the tone. Baseball bat neck and a repaired neck heel behind the headstock. Original tuners are back on after schallers were installed.

It's virtually impossible to describe what this sounds like through a '71 JMP 50 W Marshall with a 4*12 Celestion Greenback 68 reissue cabinet.

But I will say it's a tone that I have never achieved on any other instrument, and keen to get a TV yellow Jr after this.

First foray into the vintage 1950's Les Paul market. Hopefully, wont be the last.

Welcome to the vintage world and yes that is nice. I have a 58 as well. Possibly my best guitar. I play every type of style you can think of on it and sounds fantastic.

congratulations! looks great and hope you enjoy it a bunch!

curious about the baseball bat neck my 59 junior has this just right neck profile a little thicker c at the neck and flattens out just perfectly to more of a d shape towards the body

love the comment about your new desire for a tv model, like any gateway drug the price entry point for a cherry junior is not too bad but once you are hooked the prices for other models needed to round out the quiver such as the TV's , specials and goldtops goes up and up but the need must be met!!!
