Hello everybody! I have been a member for 8 years now. I have owned dozens of standards, customs, and historics. All have been wonderful guitars. I purchased a 1958 Junior from Greg at BCR music in 2014. It was my first venture into the vintage world. BLEW MY MIND! Since then I had a 54 Junior as well and although it was great, I sold it to fund another venture. Anyhow. My friend offered me a 52 Goldtop. All original with a headstock break which was repaired years ago and is solid. All gold incredible guitar! So many different sounds and tones at my fingertips. A simple roll of a knob and presto! another tone! Victor will post the pics I took in a few. Please enjoy as much as I am. This guitar will be gigged regularly. Not a collector, I am a player. Peace, Brian

dam that is nice...i was online looking at vintage gold tops last nite, they seem to be still somewhat reasonable to obtain price wise without donating a lung or kidney.

as i have never touched one, but have read a few articles that the 53 was not preffered much and probably unfairly labled as unplayable due to the tailpiece...anyone care to explain it to me a bit more would be welcome....i heard and read there are present day replacables that correct the issue.

i backed out of a deal a year ago that i regret as after reading those articles, i had second thoughts

have fun with it, i am sure it will inspire you :thumb:

The angle of the neck was wrong so the strings had to wrap OVER the bridge not under. The previous owner did the mod to top wrap. Problem solved. If you have the chance again don't hesitate. I promise you you will love it.

I love the all-gold examples of early '50s LPs. Congrats on an epic NGD!

I was amazed how light this thing is. 8 something. It literally felt like a Strat when I picked it up.

I know they arent everyones cup of tea but i think the trapeze tailpiece is classy looking.
