Got them installed?
Yes, great set. I would call them the perfect Wizz, a litte bit darker than the regular premium clones, but with more notes separation, harmonics, rounder, fuller sound. Definitely one of my top 3 PAF clone on the market.
Congrats! Did you go with Alex's standard A4 magnets?
I was starting to think that there was no way that these pickups could live up to the anticipation of waiting three months.
I've never been so happy to be so wrong. The first thing I did after playing this set was message Alex to put me on the list for the next run. I went with Alex's recomendation of A4 and a DCR of 7.6/8.4
More tone reports please!
Anyone have a set in the NYC area? I have the specialty ECP set and recording equipment. Any Sigil nos wire sets? Would be fun to make a shootout though unless we pickup swap it would be in different guitars. We could all restring 2 days prior with the same strings specs to at least take some variables out of the equation.
That's a cool idea
I was just in Manhattan last week. Had I known this, I could have brought a set of the Sigil Bluesman Roots 57 LTDs that used NOS wire, a LP loaded with Throbak PG set with vintage wire and maybe another set or two for S&Gs. I may be back in town in a week or so. I would be up for some jamming too.
Would be fun to get some people together and just split the cost of beers and a few hours in one of the nicer rooms here
I would be up for it. What days/times are best for you?
Don't leave nothing in your car
I had a set arrive Friday. I'll put them in this weekend and see how they sound.
wow they re looking awesome! we re waiting of your tonal impressions
His covers look a little different
I thought they look a little different than my regular Wizz but when I compared the two they look the same.
Maybe it's the angle/aging. They still look great
Covers are creeping up on the PAT# look IMO.
