    Ok folks this is it!

The coolest and greatest PAF´s are finally available!

WIZZ PAF´s wound with 50s wire!!!

I was waiting long for these PAF´s and it was totally worth it! I´m just blown away!!!

    They sound RIDICULOUS!!!

If you know/own WIZZ then you propably know how good they are. They nail all good PAF qualities.

Well my first impression was, they are even more open and transparent! More "airy", louder and fuller!

To me regular WIZZ are already the most transparent and open PAF clones.. You can imagine what´s the deal with those ones...

By the way Alex from WIZZ makes now his own rings, bobbins and covers! And they are KILLER!!!

I´ve got the three first sets. Next three sets go to Ed King, Greg from BCR and Duane Flowers. If you wanna get your hands on one of those, dont wast time. They are very limited (ca 10 sets)! They are a bit pricey but worth every single penny!!!

This is IMO the closest thing to the real deal !!!

Of course regular WIZZ sound as good! But different. Like two different awesome sounding real PAF´s!

    Enjoy

I installed them couple days ago on a 1958 ES-335 and a 1993 Historic. Zebra on the Neck and double black on the Bridge for the ES-335 and double white for the Goldtop.

There ain't no rockstars here. Just let it fly. :jam:

Seriously, the only issue I had with the last set of Wizz I owned was that I wish they were a bit hotter. They sounded amazing by themselves but, tended to disappear when I played them on stage. I kept reaching for 11-12 on my volume controls looking for more thickness and push. I am willing to bet a set of these wound a bit hotter would solve that issue and be awesome.

I can see I may have to buy a few more LPs to justify buying more pickups. Pity I am not a rich lawyer/collector either. :laugh2:

i never had an issue like that with standard winds but it also depends on what you´re playing. and of course alex winds hotter pickups if you ask for.

nobody buys a lp because he likes to. we all buy more lp´s because we need them! :D

You are right, Alex does a hotter wind. I was about to order a hotter set when a member here was offering a standard set at a great price and no wait. To be fair, I lived with that standard set a lot longer than most of the other pickups du jour from around here. Alex certainly has some magic going on with his sets.

As for buying Les Pauls, I LIKE to buy them, but only after I convince the Mrs. that I NEED them. :laugh2:

Received my first ever set of Wizz pickups today and installed them in my PRS Santana Sig. They do sound very nice and I haven't played with pickup height yet. The bridge pickup in any set is the most difficult location for me to be satisfied with. His bridge pickup is very clear but also very warm. A very nice combination. I really like this set.
