Oh, and I'd be totally ok with even a few strums of C/G/D, just to get the sense of the tone.
Ok. I'll see if I can record something when I get a chance.
IF i was interested in selling Snake Oil .I would of been a politician .
I'm not interested in Selling you a set or ONE set of pickups ....I'm interested in selling you Every set of pickups till the end of time ................I do follow up .
I can vouch for this. Craig's customer service is second to none. I am a completely satisfied customer. Vinehams are in all my guitars.
Good to hear. When I'm ready to buy, Craig is the man I'm talking to. Vivids or 59s (or both? ). Butyrate or not. Potting or not.
Testify! I'm a believer.
I made some samples for @Guitar Rod of my various sets of Vinehams. These are just very basic, but they may shed some light on how these sound. Please forgive my novice playing, but I hope these recordings help you get an idea of how great these pickups sound.
These are all recorded using my Amplifire 3 into an iRig Pro into iRig Recorder on my iPad.
The samples are chords Neck->Middle->Bridge then lick Bridge->Middle->Neck
The amp models are all stock from Amplifire and are called Clean Twin, Plexi Crunch and Ultimate Plexi. Finally, I've made an attempt at a snippet of Hells Bells on the "Elder Young" preset.
The guitars are as follows:
Gibson Les Paul Traditional with Sweet V59 Humbuckers
Gibson SG Special T (70s Tribute) with Rabid Dog P90s
Warmoth Maple/Ash short scale Tele with Vivid Humbucker Neck and Nocaster Bridge
And thank you for that, jdto. Much appreciated. All the pickups sound sweet and right in the tone zone of what I like.
I'm thinking about the Sweet Vine '59 pair for my Classic. I don't plan on changing out to an upgraded harness though. I like my stock Gibson pots and Orange Drop caps that I put in 5 years back. Will I still
be hearing what the SV59 pair true tone?
I've got Craig's 60-70's in my SG and they are amazing. Craig is a great guy to deal with also, I will be buying more of his stuff in the future.
