My Whisky Sours are still sitting on my shelf.

I'm really eager to try them out but the LP I'm going to put them into has all that PC and Molex plug stuff. The hardware looks pretty solid so I'm working on incorporating my own plug-and-play pickup connectors.

This winter I may just replace my 57/57+ in my other LP with the whisky sours, (it has a standard 50's harness), just to see what these pups can do !!

Sounds great! I actually have the same 57/57+ set but it seems to be lacking some life. Especially when overdriven. The harness might be the first thing on the list though!
Good luck in your search (and report when you have them installed haha).

They're a great pup. lots of clarity and top end, tight lows. To me, they sound like a tighter, less compressed 57 classic + with a little more hair. Very cool pickup.

sorry for derailing the thread, but I'm curious how you like the Granite vs the Whiskey Sour?

So I am a little late to the Vineham party, but I just picked up a set of 6070 Classics, a 6070 and V59. So far I only have the Classics loaded and I am in tone heaven. I have been through quite a few pups and these are fantastic. I am quite enamored with them. If the others I picked up sound this good, I'll never have to look anywhere else for great tone! Thanks Craig!!

Congrats! Hope to hear your thoughts on both. I picked up an Epi SG and the pickups suck. Thinking 6070 Classics for it for that T-Top style goodness, and V59s for my Epi Les Paul. Saw a vid of the V59s on YouTube (which has since gone private so I won't share) that sold me on them. Sounded very much like all the traits I like in PAFs (and clones like JM Rolph that I like) that I've heard.

If i ever get my hands on a trini lopez ill put these in that guitar. I been looking at vineham. But at some point buying guitars has to stop. I'm trying to stop my addiction to buying stuff haha. So many if i can find a great deal or a trini lopez copy ill drop these in there.
