Saw the buzz about these and then found out the wait list is about 9 months long so I opted for a kit. Came 3 weeks and 2 transit days later and spent an evening putting it together. Ive owned Klones before but this one in the early spec (they give you the parts to do early or late) really has that thing where you get compression and note seperation/pop at the same time. There are cheaper Klon options but I am happy with mine and the resale values are good although some people are asking a tone.

Also because I am "that guy" I bought some 50s NOS germanium diodes which I now refer to as the Truck Nutz mod as they are stupid big and probably do nothing...but tonez!!!!

whoops....apparently I had already started a write up (mods can combine)

So apparently I used the wrong recording session for my demo with all the jokes. Here is the better session with no attempts at humor.

Nice. I have a kit on order (same deal, didn't want to wait six months for a completed one or pay the extra $130 that a certain "audio company" charges on Reverb for them.

After double shipping and taxes Alchemy probably nets less than $100 for a fair amount of work but if you can wield an iron in tight spaces you should be ok. That said I see plenty of "help my Centaura doesnt work right" on TGP.

    LP and JTM45 Demo
