Passed by a local Montreal pawnshop today and saw a beat up Gibson " The Paul" in the front window. Went in to have a closer look and saw that the bridge pup was a Duncan and that it was wired with one volume and tone knob only . Three big gaping holes where the original pots and switch were. Frets were shot and guitar was a player grade condition with no case but they were still asking.......wait for it....... .......$2000.00 plus tax! Fellow would not budge when it told him what it was really worth even after I showed him ebay completed sales. Told me that it was a late 50's "one off" Gibson that was only going to go up in value??? LMAO!
