Been a long time and my recording technique has gone a bit better and my playing....well...is what it is. Finally just went with regular 50s wiring and removed the tbx. Pyramid Hendrix gauge 10s.

Changed everything over to white and attempted some aging but it failed.

Coffee did nothing, shoe polish started turning it pinkish so I had to sand off any coloring. Probably shoulda just went parchment but will leave if be for now.

Coffee will work on the plastics but in my experience you have to soak them for about a week.

    Looks great btw

those screws are not meant to be tight. There for, usually you can grab the head with a pair of vice grip pliers, better if you have the needle nose type, and just carefully turn it out.

I can't say that is help with tone or made it resonate anymore but considering the body looks to be made of at least 11 layers and 2 halves what can you expect.

that's alot of layers  is that a split down the middle, or a scratch?

That's actually an inherent problem with some strats..and may not be attributed to the cap.

Haha its amazing reading that as when I first started playing guitar I thought the cap was the source of twang based on a guitar I heard. Now I know that pots and caps are merely part of the filtering process of the guitar/pickups inherent tone.
