The very best part of this instrument,.....it's a freak'n tone monster!!...I plug it into my set up and BLAM! I got Paul Kossoff tone blasting at me............AWESOME!..............oh, did i tell you the best part?.....It only weighs 8.5 lbs (yes pounds... not kilos). Anyways here some pics...............

Thank you gents, I seem to have a great love for these late '70s customs, i used to have a similar '79 BB but i gave it to my nephew as he is a aspiring guitar player himself. So this makes a great replacement.

    Beautiful !! Congrats @mudface!! :thumb:

That BB looks gorgeous...and I'm sure it sounds killer as you say. One thing though...small thing...I think it would've come stock with a cream switch tip if I'm not mistaken?

Thank you Scozz, good eye. I have actually seen them with either one, my '79 had a cream tip, my '78 black, and i might add the pickguard my not be original, it has aged and yellowed but has a different shape. This '77 guitar has large dots for the side fretboard markers while my '78 has rather small dots. No dot for the i on the Gibson logo. The normal Norlin stuff.

yeah its a freak,.......when the guy at GC handed to me he said "careful...it's kinda heavy".............I was like "no this ain't heavy.....this is the lightest late '70s Norlin i ever held".................this is classic........he replied....."ahh...no man...it's a Gibson" :D
