Work in progress. I already ripped off the godawful pink tone/volume knobs the previous owner had on and threw them in the garbage. The pickups will be going as soon as I figure out which pickups I want. I'm not a fan of the color of the tuners but I forgot how much I liked locking tuners, I might keep them around to see if they rub off on me but I really wish they were another color.

I had an Elitist awhile back that I stupidly sold and have been looking for another one ever since. This one kinda fell into my lap and I'm so glad it did, amazing guitar and I love the wine red finish. This guy is definitely gonna be sticking around for the duration.

Thank you for saving a great guitar from a poor artist.

That will be a real beauty once all that pink crap is off.
Gold hardware would be the icing on the cake IMHO :yesway:

I've taken a real liking to wine red customs lately, not good for my GAS :eek2:

Gold is the plan. I was a little disappointed when I picked it up today and noticed the tailpiece and bridge weren't gold. I guess I missed that when I bought it, another thing I'll have to change out. Oh well. I got a pretty nice deal on the guitar so there's some room to work with.

Congrats on a finding a killer guitar.

That guitar deserves to be put back to the original look.

I picked up my '03 Elite Custom a few months ago in a pawnshop for $300.

It turned out to be on the the best guitars in my collection.

    It sounds and plays amazing.

    Here's my Elite:

You should be charged with a felony.:wow: That's a steal.
I payed a lot more for my Elitist Std. and it was worth every penny.
    Nice Elites guys.

Did the Elite's use the same bridge and stopbar as the China made EPi's?

They shouldn't even be allowed to sell tuners like that!

Nice guitar! Definitely worth the de-uglifying process. Who owned it before? Steve Vai? He can get away with flourescent fittings... on an Jem. That stuff looks awful on a LP.
