I've put getting one of these off far too long. I almost got the same midnight blue 350v63 7 yrs ago and let it slip. Had the opportunity to get another one the other day and pounced! Why did I put this off for so long???!! I've admired Ricks since I first saw the Beatles album covers I had back in the early 1970s. So brand new out of the box the guitars setup is perfect. Tuned up and started getting to know it. The SOUNDS man! Cool. The guitar is physically well balanced with zero neck dive issues. The neck shape is superb. Just the right touch of chunky and rounded off. A tad narrower than a Strat neck maybe but it makes all them cool Beatles chords easier to play. Yes the fretboard is all lacquered up but it's playable. The construction is impeccable. The more I play it the more I hear new things and connect with it. In 40yrs this is the most fun and excitement I have had with a new instrument.

Gorgeous! What's the scale length on the 350? It looks longer than Lennon's 325, which was a 3/4 size.

Thanks! Scale length is 24 3/4" like a Gibson. Nut width and 12th fret width standard Rickenbacker sized. U shaped neck is real comfy tho. Put it this way, I was thinking of Rickenbackers new 1993 Plus with a wide board for the 12 strings. Now I think a regular 330/12 or 360/12 would be fine. And I do normally go for big wide necks like on the R7-R9s I've had or have and my 51 Nocaster Relic. But I really think the neck on the Rickenbacker is perfect for this guitar.

I had a 4003S that I loved but sold it because I could never keep the neck relief correct. The double truss rods were not the answer for me.
