    Hi!
I was helping a friend abroad bying an R7 here in Germany, and somehow ended up buying this very colourful beast off him :D

It's a 2011 MusicMan Steve Morse and it's pretty cool! Workmanship is brilliant, plays great and sound good too. It's got weirde electronics - the switch does the following "North to South":
    1. Neck Pup
    2. Neck and Bridge Pup
    3. Middle Pup (the single coil)
    4. Middle and Bridge Pup
    5. Bridge Pup
This one's also been modified with a push/pull tone pot so that the buckers can be split - lots of great tones to be had!
Size-wise it's somewhat bigger than the Axis / Van Halen model I also have, but that's a good thing as I'm pretty big ;)
I've ordered a Tremol-No for it, as my picking and bending isn't always compatible with floating trems. Should get here tomorrow, so I waiting to see how that works!
    Again, it's very colourful:

Came with all the case candy too!

I installed the Tremol-No, which works great, and gigged the guitar last night. Used only the Morse through a JCM 800 4210, no effects, and it was great .

I've owned a couple of Morse's. One was a one off BFR standard model which has even crazier pickup configuration and switching options and the other was a Y2D in the Purple Sunset finish like yours. Both of mine were hardtails. They are stellar guitars. They play great and the Morse pickups are super underrated. So many tones to be had.

I have an SMY2D and the thing not only plays fantastic but gets all sorts of different sounds with that weird switching configuration. All of that comes from Steve and if you've ever seen him he uses all 5 positions of switch a zallion times in every song, he switches it very fast!

Congrats on your NGD and welcome to the SMY2D fold!

Keep an eye out for the Dixie Dregs, they'll be touring in 2018!

The Steve Morse model is a superb guitar. I have the classic one in blue.
