Old Heritage 80. It had a finish that faded to what I can only describe as Alpoburst. I just couldn`t live with it. I never did a NGD when I got it so i`ll do it now. It`s heavy, over 9 lbs. Slightly smaller neck than I like but it`s comfy. Great flame. Great board. It now has Fralin Pure PAFs. Tone wise the cleans are pure blues. First thing I played(out of respect) when I plugged it in today was Breakdown by Tom Petty(RIP) The tone was absolutely spot on. Then some Page, the cleans from What is and What Should Never Be. Again, spot on. Then Queen`s Crazy Little Thing Called Love. A little thicker sounding than May(he played it on a strat) but it was pretty close. Now for some gain. Some Gary Moore blues, Some very loud Kossoff and Metallica`s Jump in the Fire(one of my fav solos, EVER). Then I played along with my 2 "go to" tracks for tone. Rock Bottom from Strangers in the night and finally Dire Straits Brothers in Arms. Not one note I wasn`t happy with. All played through a Marshall SL5. Photos to follow in a bit.
