New guitar day! Traded my Epiphone Dot for this guitar. Already have a non comp bridge and white button Kluson tuners to replace the grovers, as well as schaller strap locks.

Let me start by saying, WOW! When I picked this guitar up, I thought it was very tobacco burst looking, but when I was playing it with thw window open, It really is a 50's burst cherry to yellow! My guitar is a 2 piece mahogany body with a mahogany neck too. The previous owner smokes... but the smell is slowly drawling out of the wood.

Not a fan of the P100 or the wiring much. Has too much of a obnoxious mid hump(and I love my mids!). In the next few weeks, I'll probably be swapping out the electronics for some CTS pots and an antiquity P90.

In all, the guitar is amazing. Got a great deal on the guitar and am very pleased!

I can't quite put my finger on it, but something seems amiss with the Strat.
    Nice Jr.!

LOL! Its going to be a single humbucker guit, but I'm putting dud pots and single coils in the neck and mid spot.

The Jr. feels better than a 57 vos jr from gibson I played a few months ago. I may do the Gibby headstock mod to make it like a gib, but keep the epi logo. It plays great!

Does it have a Maple Top? The top looks like Maple to me, but I could be wrong...

Nope. It's a 2 piece slab of mahogany. The neck is also mahogany.

    Thanks man!

    WAY cool.
I've heard that disconnecting the wire to one of the coils gets a p100 half way to being a p90.
I haven't recently had one in my possession to try it.
Might be a cool reason for a push/pull pot.

I've read that. I'm too lazy to try that so I'm just going to do a straight swap to a SD. Easier in my opinion.

My non comp bridge came in today. From the nut down, I'd mistake it for a VOS gibby. The bridge definitely gives it a warmer tone which helps cut the treble from the pickup.

I had no clue why the bridge wouldn't come off, apparently the studs are locking.

That they are. Mine is crazy good. I just want to get an antiquity in there and cts pots and it'll be perfect!

Great guitars after mods. I had a TV yellow one. Was my favorite, don't know why I listed it, but, it sold right away. I rewired it and put a GFS Slick 9k Junior in it.

Part of me wished I got the tv yellow, but with the work already put into it, makes me think it'll hang around for a while.

What a sweetheart! Like I always say sometimes, everyone needs at least one P90 guitar...
