Hey guys, just got this in today. Got it for pretty cheap I think.
That really is a beautiful top. I love the Dark Cherry Sunburst finish. If I were to buy myself a second ALS130, and I'm considering it, I'd get it in that colour. Looks good without the switch cap plastic, too. Gibson Hardcase is always a plus. How much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking? Did you get it direct from Japan or from a local store?
Very cool... congratulations...
but I would still say "add a pokerchip"
Congrats ! Those Eddies are great
Happy NGD! Very nice guitars. I have an ALS135. Looks just like yours except its reliced and has Duncan Antiquities. It's hands-down the best LP I've ever played. I don't think anyone can touch an Eddy for value for money.
Hey there thanks for the kind words. I took the pickguard and pokerchip off myself. love that look. I paid $1050 including the case and free shipping. I bought it off reverb from a seller in kentucky.
I took it off myself
awesome man. i prefer the unrelic look so im happy with my 130 mine has the seth love pups which are pretty similar to the antiquities from what i hear. i kind of want to change them out though, or at least the neck pup. its a little dark for my liking
Congrats on a great deal on that beauty. Edwards have really kicked it up a notch the past couple of years.
I agree. I've had 2 Edwards and both were immaculate, construction wise and sound wise. As perfect as a fancy PRS (I don't like PRSs, I think they lack soul).
Congrats. I also have an ELP ALS 130 in dark cherry 'burst and it's a great guitar. A good hardshell case like the yours came in is a must for one of these beauties. Mine came with the stock ESP gig bag and the first thing I did was buy a good TKL hsc for it.
Mine said it came with a softcase, which I assumed was the stock one (the triangular ESP bag looks like a suitbag more than a guitarcase!) so I bought a hardcase for it to ship in, but it was one of the nice padded Tokai ones. Oh well... peace of mind and I've got a softcase for my partscaster.
I've owned about every single cut out there and the one high end Edwards I had was the best fret job of any guitar I have ever owned. I've never owned another guitar that was completely playable at such a low action. That's including the Gibson, Fender, and Tokai Custom Shops.
There isn't a better value guitar out there, IMO.
Was it a Pure Material?
Bzautiful case, congrats !
No, it was the Jimmy Page model.
I got an Edwards 130 Custom abourt6 months ago, and the CNC-fret-inlay work is absolutely flawless.
There is nothing out of place or even slightly amiss about it. If that makes it "Soulless", thats OK with me . . .
