Another NGD (to me anyway - it's a used guitar). Here is my latest - a 2006 BFG in Translucent Black:

A P-90 in the neck and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge. I'm not sure that I'm crazy about the Burstbucker 3, but I do love the P-90.

BFG stands for Barely Finished Guitar. The maple hasn't been sanded down so the top is bumpy. It also doesn't have pickup rings or fret board markers. It has a kill switch where the normal pickup switch would be and the pickup switch is where the tone knob should be. I added the custom poker chip since the kill switch didn't sit in the hole correctly. I'm trying to find the correct wood volume and tone knobs.

The head stock isn't even finished. They normally don't have a truss rod cover but the previous owner added one.

The back is unfinished as well. It's a cool guitar!

Very cool! I always dug the gnarly look of those BFG's.

    AWESOME!!! LOVE the BFG!! Congrats!!

I have a Lollar P-90 and a Lollar Imperial in mine. Might wanna try a swap out. Just fantastic sounding and playing guitars. I plan on getting another before the prices get any higher. The necks on these are beautiful to play on!

That's pretty darn slick. CONGRATS. I dig the clear covers on the back too.

It has a jungle like prehistoric look to it. I like it!

From the looks of it you have 27 guitars. Just about enough to open a shop. Nice collection.

Thank you all! I do have a collection now. Isn't this how George Gruhn started out? :)

I always thought of the BFG as a "blank canvas" of sorts.

Wow, the 2 BFG's in this thread are amazing. I like them anyway but the colors on these are great! I hope to pick one of these up eventually. Only thing I don't like is the original knobs, the knob config and kill switch. I would return it to traditional set up.

I'd keep the wood knobs. If only for being unique.

My wood knobs appeared to be Lincoln Log rejects. Really poor
