Thanks guys, I'm in love... I wanted to sleep with it on the first night but my wife wasn't to excited about the idea :D
I checked the setup and there was zero relief in the neck so I thought I will dial in some. I loosened the truss rod but the readings make me worry a little bit.
High E string is at 0.004 while the low E is at 0.010. I saw some video on youtube where the guy said if this reading was uneven it is an indication of warped neck. Should I be worried? How much uneveness is normal?
(For the measurement I put a capo on the 1st fret and fret the string at the 14th and measure at the 7th)

    First off,congratulations on yer Trad,brother!! I have a ‘16 as well and she’s my #1.
As far the neck goes? I’m none too sure, however, I have no doubt that one of our experts will be more than happy to help y’all.

Side note: I don’t have any problems with electronics and pickups work, but, I am a real chicken-shit when it comes to the neck:facepalm::laugh2:

First, congrats. As stated, turns out that 2016 was a legendary year for Traditionals (mine is a plaintop/no weight relief one).

Second, how what the guitar playing before you adjusted the truss rod? Were you trying to correct an issue or did you change it just because you thought you needed to? The height difference is likely just the bridge height, and if everything else is right and it plays good I wouldn't concern myself with it.

FWIW, I set all my Gibsons up with basically zero relief and have no problem getting the action as low as I want without buzz. Relief is a good thing to have available when needed, but not a necessary thing. I prefer the neck as straight as possible and also think they sound better with a bit more turns on the TR nut.

2016 was a good year, kinda like a good year for a fine wine...
I also think the 2016 Traditional's had to be good after the 2015 LP debacle

Look around here - there was a thread on this question here within the last 3-4 iirc. No, what you described is fine, and some might say ideal. Capo at 1st fret is good, but I’d press strings at the neck-body junction to measure relief at around fret 8.

    Awesome! Happy New Guitar Day!

I also have a 2016 Traditional, and love it. Was certainly a great year for that model. I find a guitar you really love pushes you to be a better player, so go break that baby in!
