Hi, just got this, was looking for a newer Les Paul (I like clean frets) at a decent price point, but didn't want a metal nut...satin, futura or one of the many variations...

2014 Signature in black, I replaced the min-etune with 18-1 grovers. I had thought about replacing the harness but the boost sounds nicer than I was expecting.
Restring, fretboard condition, plays very nice. I'm a little afraid to weigh it. lol... it's a beast, but has nice resonance. Love the tan case.

It looks a little like a poor man's Les Paul custom. I always dug Glenn Tipton's Les Paul on the back of Judas Priest's Hell Bent for Leather...

    pics... enjoy!

Beautiful! How did you get that fretboard so dark? Looks like ebony.

Looks incredible!!! You can always replace with a harness, and then buy a boost pedal

    HNGD!

You're right about the custom-esque look. Here's mine:

I too like the boost. I only need one tone control.

It's a highly versatile guitar, IMO. The split coil option, to me, gives it a telecaster type sound- cutting, articulate and gritty. The thing just invites you to use all of the control options all of the time.

I've kept the min-eTune but have recently swapped the pick guard for a plain black Gibson brand 5 ply.

    Enjoy!

    Thanks for the comments everyone,

That is a good question... I buy the Gibson "luthier's choice" 3 pack (see link below) and I noticed their fretboard conditioner does a VERY nice job of darkening the board. For some reason I find that mint Gibsons (2013 ish forward) sometimes have dry boards. Guessing it's a function of them being new old stock or possibly sitting in the case for a while... You don't get a ton of it in the three pack. but it works great.

Gibson has made it a point of putting darker rosewood on their higher end models and lighter on their economy models.
