Unbelievable guitar for the money. In not a fender guy, at all. I only have LPs. But I have owned a late 90's Fender American deluxe strat briefly in the past. This American Peavey does not disappoint.

The seller had other Peavey predators, American & Korean. Played them all, this one is very special. Just rings out acoustically. Classic strat tones through an amp.

I'm still a LP guy, but it's good to get know I can get my strat on from time to time.

    From the seller:

"Guitar has been completely taken apart.
    Inspected/cleaned/repaired as needed.
Completely rewired with new Oak Grigsby 5 way switch, CTS 450G 250K pots, and cloth pushback wire.
Everything is in great shape and fully functioning.
A few small chips in finish, as all of them have.
Small chip in the headstock logo.

Frets are in great shape. Minimal wear. Gave them a light polish.
Action is set at 2mm on the bass side, tapered down to about 1.7mm on the treble side.
    Intonation is set.
    No dead notes.
    Fresh set of 9's.
Includes new black nickel trem bar.No case.

I have a bunch of these guitars.
Some of them just have more personality and mojo than others.
    This is one of them.
One of the best sounding Predators I have.
It's just a hot one. Really great player."

I had that same guitar. Bought it as a kid and sold it to my cousin. Red 92/93. Sold it to buy the worst sounding Mexican Tele ever.

Peavy US made excellent guitars. As good as any of their competitors.

The used-market prices for these things is a steal.

I had a Peavy Generation Series that I should never have sold.

The more I research the stuff, it seems you just can't beat an American Peavey for the price.
There are multiple USA models under $250.

I don't know of anything you can consistently find at that price that would compete.

Great guitars, loved every Peavey I ever picked up. Should have bought one.
Buddy of mine had a T-60 in the 80s that was a monster, heavy as hell.
