Hey all, today I finally received my mystery Greco EG 600! I have quoted below my previous two posts, as there is some relevant info in there, but I'm still trying to get my stuff together to get it back into working order! It's a pretty good weight for an LP Custom (just under 10 pounds), and so far seems pretty solid! The neck seems to be a 3 piece neck (plus the two headstock wings), and seems to have a pancake body. Most likely is poly-finished, as the finish feels significantly "harder" than on my Gibson. There seems to be some weird smelly substance in the control cavity (the white stuff), so I'll need to figure out what that is, but if you all want, I can update you on my progress as I work on the guitar!

What do you guys think about the guitar as a whole? Please read the quotes, there is a lot of relevant info in there!! Let me know if you need more pics!

    Cheers!!

I'm curious to see what pickups are in there and also if it is a plytop! Looks like a plytop from the cavity bottom! Other than that, it looks great with diamond inlay, yellowed binding, nibs etc. HNGD!

Alright I'm just going to dump all these pics I took -- looks a bit sketchy in the cavities, seems to be chambered or something, and no maple cap?? What do you think?

Let me know what you think!

Yep, no maple top, just mahogany body! The lower end Grecos of the time, had some kind of plywood cap! Nothing wrong with it, if you like it, if it plays good and you didn't pay much..enjoy, it looks great!
