$330?!!! They're £330 here!! Even when the damn products are made in the UK - we still get screwed!
Bubble, how does that bad boy sound through that 4x12?
Loud, I tried the combo in a store and sat infront of it with it almost at head level cranked up and it didn't seem all that loud (maybe the store was a much bigger space than where i'm using mine) but through a 412 it sounds big. Also I don't rate the stock speaker very highly so the 412 is an improvement even with it's stock Eminence speakers in there.
Yea thats not right, thats like $530 US
330.00 usd = 201.549 gbp
a big chunk of the price in the UK is VAT tax but it wouldnt make up for Americans getting them cheaper than us even after theirs have been shipped thousands of miles and ours in some cases barely any distance at all.
Supply and demand most likely, if they couldnt sell them for 330 in the UK they'd have to lower the price... but since they're selling.
I lived in the UK for a while (Kent) and although I miss jolly 'ol England, one thing I do not miss is the high prices on everything.
now if they were that price they were would totally sell out in the UK, thats the price of some pedals... Everyone would have one which would be huge for marshall...
unfortunately though they try and rip us off, and as a result few will be sold..
One of the reasons I will never by a marshall...
i wish they incorporated the low power switch into the head....
The head is $399 here in Canada.
Plug the cab halfway into into the headphone-out socket (halfway because it's a stereo jack socket) and that does exactly the same as the low power switch stupid as it sounds it's what the switch does on the combo version
You could also rewire a stereo jack so it just runs mono
then into a cab so you dont have to worry about it
thats not too bad
yeah. i saw this solution to the mkI combos.
I'd prefer a solid solution, as the one mentioned above with rewiring a stereo jack.
they would look pretty cool with a 6" Gold and White Logo
(i photo shopped it) gives it an even more vintage look
would any of you say this amp is "neighbor friendly" at about 1 o clock on the volume?
its been a while since I last played one.
It would be redundant since the head needs to be plugged into something anyhow.
How many low power solutions do you need on one head?
In a word, no. Then again, I guess it all depends on what kind of dwelling you live in (apartment/condo, townhouse, semi-detached, detached, etc.).
semi detached. from what i remember it wasn't neighbor friendly but I might go give one another shot
