Hi everyone  New guy here. I just recently inherited this Epi Slash "Rosso Corsa" Les Paul, and what a freakin great guitar. I am totally impressed with the guitar and the Seymour Duncan Slash Signature pickups.

I am not a Slash fanboy, but like I said, I inherited the guitar. I've been playing for over 30 years, have owned 5 Gibson Les Pauls (currently own no Gibsons and only this one Epiphone), and many other guitars. I know good when I play it, and this guitar is good. I love this thing, and my Fenders have been neglected lately. I used it at band practice last week, and it was killer through my Hotrod Deluxe amp. Tone and sustain out the wazoo! It just sings! The pickups are just killer, and I can get pretty much any sound I need out of them. Looks pretty good too. ;)

Just thought I would say Hi and show off my new toy. :slash::)

    Very Nice! :applause:

And it fell into your lap?

    Even sweeter! :thumb:

That is one pretty top! I'm a red fanboy anyway and I love natural wood grain, so that top is just perfect to me!:wow:

Enjoy it, and thanks for sharing!

You too? Red is my weakness. Transparent red, cherry red, candy apple red, I also have a Strat with an ash body and transparent red finish, but this LP is BEAUTIFUL.

Maybe at some point down the road somebody will leave me one! LOL!!!!!:laugh2:

That is some fine lookin' wood under the red too!

My white American deluxe is transparent too, just in white . Nowhere near as cool as red! :dude:

    Thank you very much! :h5:

I put that on for a very good friend who also leads a Worship team on Sundays. I hated the sound and feel of the guitar when I first got it (it was a gift), so I gave it to my pal to use some time back.

Recently, I updated my MIM with new Rio-Grandes and a new pick guard so I had the silver hummer left over. I knew he liked the fuller sound of mine so I asked him if he wanted me to drop it in the Strat he was using.

Well, one thing led to another so while I had it I decked it out with new covers front and back. Changed those awful N3 pickups to a set of 57/68's that I found in the used parts bin.

They sound amazing in that thing with the S-1 switch to boot! :dude:

    Here's a before and after.

BTW.. They have a Fender subforum here in the OTHER GUITARS section.

There are a few 'show your Strat' threads I've posted in over there too! They would love to see this on there as well! It's not a new guitar day, but it still counts. It's new to us! :thumb:

There are also a few 'Show your red strat' and red les paul' threads around too! You'll be busy for a while!

I had one of these. Probably the best board I have ever had on a guitar. Very dark and smooth. Sounded great, too.

Very nice congrats. There are still a few of these knocking around for sale in some stores. Not sure how many they made but I would guess not a huge amount. I have the Gibson version. Probably one of my favourite playing guitars. I was surprised however when i tried the Epiphone version how different the neck profile was.

    LOL!!! :lol::lol:

That's actually a crappy phone pic taken in my dining room.

It's laying on the table under a chandelier type overhead lamp that just yellowed the crap out of it.

The reflections you see are of the glass panels of the lamp, not a window.... :hmm:

But it does make for an interesting perspective. I never thought of that! :cool2:

If the pick guard were a mirror........ Sweet! Thanks for that!

    Is the Gibson neck thinner?
