I'm going to take a guess that when these do come out. It's probably going to be hard to get one here in the Austin TX area where Gary is from. Just thinking out load LOL :fingersx:

    Clark is good..

I wonder how much epiphone is paying him to play their guitars?

Gary was playing them long before he was 'Gary'. In an interview he said he wanted a big hollow body because that's what his hero's played and a second-hand Casino was the cheapest way to get there.

Anyone know, aside from the paint job, what makes these different from, say, the standard tobacco burst Casinos?

Gibson P90's for sure and perhaps the rest of the electronics?

I will be interesting to see is they use the Epi vintage-style pole spacing or the Gibson modern pole spacing that is wider at the neck so the same bobbin can be used (cost cutting?).

Also, many of the doggier P90's (epic and gibson) these days measure way too high in resistance. Exactly why I'm swapping my Casino pup for custom winds.

Nice guitar and all, not sure it's worth the extra dosh for the "upgrades" being offered. Particularly if it's a MIC guitar and not MIJ.

Hey Guys, So you know. Sweetwater is now taking preorder. $841 for the Bigsby with vintage gray OHSC, $799 non Bigsby with black OHSC. All wiring is CTS pots, etc similar to the 61 reissue Casino or 62 Ressue Sorrento/Sheri. They will be available "Early Summer" meaning end of April according to my guy. I was apparently the 2nd in line for preorder as of about 10pm CST 2/19

Link to first preorder that I can find. The non bigsby isn't up yet. Apparently, they are a few weeks behind in production from what I have been told.

Pretty good looking. I didn't think much of it until those pics of Death holding one.

Damn those pole pieces look high!

I just noticed... this tribute casino seems to have Grover Rotomatics as standard, not the usual Vintage-type stamped-construction Kluson copies on most of the Casino line. Interesting. Personally, I'd have preferred they offer this guitar with Grover Deluze die-cast versions of the Kluson-type tuner. Not because they sound any different/better, but because that's what a Casino should come with :)

I noticed that the Gary Clark Blak & Blu Casino pre-order is no longer listed on Sweetwater's website. Anyone know what's up?

I bet Sweetwater does. Why don't you ask them?

Just bought the Bigsby model today in Beijing, China. The shop only had two--one with the Bigsby and one without. The attached picture is from the shop but it is of the exact guitar that I purchased. This is my first hollow body electric, although I do have some semi-hollows.

So I took Pnugget's advice and called Sweetwater. They are still taking orders over the phone even though the guitar is not listed on their website. My guy said that they aren't expecting the guitar until later in the year and it was removed because of the long wait. Went ahead and placed an order anyway. Hopefully I'll have it in my hands sooner rather than later.

I ordered mine a couple days ago. Let's see if it takes as long as my JB Pelham Blue LP took.
