I figured this would be coming and is why I haven't really tried to advance my Mustang software for the current model. EOL was coming!! I am sure it will be nice.

After going Fractal, I have no need for anything else modeling. Now I can waste my money on more guitars and such... :)

I hope Fender comes up with an even better Mustang line that still punches way above its price weight.

Despite recent comments that may unintentionally sound otherwise, I totally agree!!! Mustangs have always been a great product and tremendous bang for the buck. Totally pleased with my I, III and V. Contemplating selling my V, but when I think about what it will bring, it just doesn't seem like a good idea. I hope the new one is the next step. I think they deserve it.

I'm glad I bought my Code from GC, returning it was easy.

Although the Mustang is a good amp for the price, that statement is false. The Mustang doesn't make it on any top selling list. The only Fenders that make it on the lists are the Deluxe and Twin Reverb.

I think Frank was talking in context of purely modelling amps.

I could not find anywhere where the Mustang was listed top seller, but I have heard it several times.

Cool features, but then they make it look like the CODE. Must have been in development before the CODE flopped. Or as moderately priced modeling amps get better, they probably don't want them to look like the traditional higher priced tube amps.

Looks like the same models and functions as before, packaged in a new layout.

My Mustang I is probably the best $100 I ever spent for low volume practice and portability. It is so good for the $100 I spent, it will be hard to "trade up" to something else. Through headphones it sounds even better. I am tempted to buy a powered monitor and run the headphone line out to the monitor.

    New layout

Looks don't count for much. There is a high end modeler /profiler that looks like a Heathkit.:)

Rumors are mid May release for the new Mustang line. The Mustang I v2 will still be available. We'll see.

Someone posted on another forum that GC had the new GT100 in stock and gave a very favorable review.

Owning 3 Mustangs (Iv1 IIIv2 and Floor) and love them, there is only one thing I don't like about them and the new one seem to have as well, are those flimsy plastic headphone jacks, soldered directly on the platine (I-V not the Floor model).
